Darwin and Angela attended two-panel presentations featuring women at the MD&M West Conference in Anaheim, CA in February. Angela attended “The Changing Path: Women’s Perspective on the Future of Robotics” in which topics such as the impact of robotics and talent were discussed. Organizations such as the Society of Women’s Engineering, Medtech Color, and Medtech Women are helping to increase the talent pool. Darwin attended “Big Manufacturing Issues Meet Medical” sponsored by Medtech Women and led by Kate Stephenson. The panel discussed the challenges the manufacturing industry is facing and what changes are ahead for the industry relevant to digitization.
